The one thing that irks me about public schools, at least the ones I've spent most of my time at, is that, architecturally, they aren't very interesting. Private schools have all the money, so this makes some sense, but it still drives me nuts how much more pretty the buildings are at the UChicagos and Cornells of the world. Obviously, I am ignoring schools like Boulder which are gorgeous, but as a whole this makes me sad.
